Donate canned goods dry goods at Citadel Credit Union Springfield PA Help Seniors

In-home senior care provider Comfort Keepers of Springfield, PA has been participating in the nationwide Stop Senior Hunger campaign to collect dry goods and canned foods for low income seniors for the last 3 years.
With over 10.000 pounds of food collected and donated, Comfort Keepers prides itself on working with community leaders and business partners to set up food drives to collect the donations. For the third year in a row, Citadel, the Federal Credit Union that has several locations in Chester and Delaware County, PA has partnered with Comfort Keepers to collect food in their Springfield location.
The food drive will take place at the Springfield location during the month of October 2012. Lead by Dianna Armstrong of Citadel, the employees and customers made generous donations last year to help Comfort Keepers move closer to their goal of 10.000 pounds collected. Since Comfort Keepers has collected over 10.000 pounds, Citadel donations will help Comfort Keepers get to its next goal of 25, 0000 pounds collected by June of 2013.

Calling all Sproul Lane Senior League Bowlers....

Are you a senior who bowls at Sproul Lanes in Springfield? If so, I wanted to let  you that the Chamber of Commerce is holding an event there on January 20, 2011. This is the third or fourth year the Chamber has held their networking and bowling event there and each year they have been gracious enough to also support the Stop Senior Hunger campaign.

Stop Senior Hunger is an intiative put forth by Comfort Keepers to collect canned goods and dry food for low income senior citizens in Delaware County, PA. So if you are bowling at the lanes on January 20th and you would like to make a donation to Stop Senior Hunger, the box will be available around 12:30pm for you to put your donations in.

Stop Senior Hunger has collected over 6500 pounds of food and delivered it to low income senior citizen residences in Delaware County, PA.
