Older Americans Month May

Believe it or not, May will be here before we know it. Today is was almost 80 degrees out and a sure sign of the summer fun to come. May is Older American's Month. During the month of the May, COSA will host the annual Centenarian Luncheon for seniors who are 100 and older at Drexelbrook and the Annual Senior Fair at Harrah's in Chester. The fair can draw upwards to 1200 seniors or more.

I have been to both events and I can tell you they are wonderful. The senior fair is a great outing for seniors to pick up useful information and some giveaways while enjoying the peaceful view of the Delaware River. If you sit outside near the race track at Harrah's you can see the Delaware River and every once in awhile a large tanker or boat goes by and reminds you of the size of the body of water. It looks small from afar but it quite a large body of water. To think of the history those waters hold. The boats, tankers and ships that have sailed along the border of Chester.

If you are able to attend the Senior Fair is Friday May 13th from 9am to 1pm. It is FREE to enter. If you stop by say Hi to me at my table and let me know you saw this information on my blog. Be safe and healthy and see ya soon.
