May is Older Americans Month

May is Older Americans Month so that means there will be quite a few events and activities for seniors. On May 13th, COSA, Delaware County Offices for the Aging will host their annual senior fair at Harrah's Race Track in Chester. I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the fun. Terrific organizations will be on hand to give out information on services. There are usually giveaways provided by the vendors, check your local Town Talk and County Presses soon for the insert on Older Americans Month.

Also May is the month for the Centenarian Luncheon. If you know anyone who will turn 100 this year or is 100 or older, please have them or their family contact COSA at 610-490-1300. A wonderful luncheon is held at Drexelbrook to honor the Centenarians. If you have loved one or know of someone who is a Centenarian but could not attend the luncheon please let COSA staff know as they visit every Centenarian they know of at the person's residence whether it is a private home, nursing home or facility.

To contact COSA go to http://www.delcosa.org/ or call them at 610-490-1300. Comfort Keepers is a proud sponsor of Older Americans Month for the 7th consecutive year.
